Tesla's growing reliance on China is highlighted by the release of the new Model 3 vehicle.

The revamped Model 3 sedan from Tesla, which was produced in China, was unveiled to the general public for the first time at a trade expo in Beijing a day earlier.

The US firm showcased a flame-red version of the car at the China International Fair for Trade in Services. This was the first change to its mass-market automobile range since it unveiled the current best-selling Model Y in 2020.

The introduction of the updated Model 3 also emphasizes the automaker's growing reliance on China, where it is in a market share competition with BYD. The business has never before released a vehicle in China before the US.

Additionally, it will be transported via Tesla's Shanghai production facility to other nations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. One of its new features, which seemed to be aimed at Chinese buyers, was a rear display for passengers in the backseat.

As he looked at the car, Guo, a 22-year-old university student, stated, "I came to the expo to learn more about the car's debut.

He remarked that the back display and the upgraded audio system were features he enjoyed. "Passengers in the back seat might not find the ride as monotonous."

Another visitor to the Tesla booth who just gave her name as Hu said she wasn't convinced enough about the goods to place a purchase.

Given the abundance of new energy vehicles available today, she claimed that there was no particular reason to purchase a Tesla.

According to Tesla, the new car will also be on display at the Munich auto show, which starts on Tuesday.
