Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossan Shantu of Bangladesh assisted the "Tigers" in setting Afghanistan a 335-run target during the fourth game of the 2023 Asia Cup on Sunday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Bangladesh had lost two wickets for 63 runs before Miraz and Shantu put their team in command with a huge 194-run stand.

Shanto was run out for 104 off 105 balls, while Miraz was injured after scoring 112 off 119.

Shakib Al Hasan, the team's captain, scored 32 points in just 18 balls to rank third among his teammates in scoring.

Afghanistan will take the field against Bangladesh in their first-ever international game today in Pakistan.

Many Afghan players in the past learned the game in Pakistan while some also played in the national team, including outstanding all-arounder Mohammad Nabi.

Afghanistan's first game in the Asia Cup 2023 will also be their first game overall. On September 5, they will play Sri Lanka in Group B.

Bangladesh will be attempting to recover from their loss to Sri Lanka in the first game because they need to win this game in order to advance to the Super 4.

Since the 2008 Asia Cup, this is Pakistan's first neutral international game.
